Direct और Indirect Speech
- Ravi said, "I am tired." — Direct —
- Ravi said that he was tired. — Indirect —
| Reported Speech | "I am tired." |
Reporting Verb
|---|---|---|
| Assertive (कथन) | said → said; said to → told | that |
| Interrogative — Yes/No | asked, enquired, wanted to know | if / whether |
| Interrogative — Wh- | asked, enquired | वही Wh- शब्द (who, what, why …) |

| may | might | "It may rain." → it might rain |
| must | had to (बाध्यता) / must (स्थायी नियम, अनुमान) | "I must go." → he had to go |
